Garrett Vazquez is a songwriter first and foremost. Influenced by people like The Beatles, Elliott Smith, Harry Nilsson and Cream, Garrett’s music does not stay in one genre for very long. From soft finger-picking ballads to heavy guitar riffs, Garrett has produced a wealth of varied and catchy songs. A regular on the open mic scene in Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Garrett can be seen at Moto-I, Plum’s, Morrisey’s, Reverie and Honey.

Garrett Vazquez was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota and began playing guitar at the age of 12. After hearing The Beatles’ White Album and Paul McCartney’s self-titled first solo album, Garrett began writing songs and learning to play other instruments like piano, bass and drums. Now an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Garrett wrote, recorded, produced and played nearly every instrument on his debut album Painted White released in September of 2014. Garrett is set apart by his ability to play in different styles and command your attention with his lyrics which are delivered with a clear voice and memorable melodies.

Currently, Garrett is working on a follow up to Painted White which is planned for release by the end of 2016. Although Garrett normally plays solo shows, he is currently putting together a band which will add a whole new dimension to his live shows.
